To Dream is to Dare

Letter from Taliban to Malala Yousafzai

The other side of the table. Some noteworthy content.

I am writing to you in my personal capacity this may not be the opinion or policy of Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan or other jihadi faction or group.

Let’s begin

Taliban never attacked you because of going to school or you were  education lover, also please mind that Taliban or Mujahideen are not against the education of any men or women or girl. Taliban believe that you were intentionally writing against them and running a smearing campaign to malign their efforts to establish Islamic system in swat and your writings were provocative.

Is promoting education and encouraging people to pursue education a smearing campaign against Taliban?

Now to explain you the second point, why Taliban are blowing up schools? The answer to this
questions in that not only Taliban in KPK or FATA are blowing up the schools but Pakistan
Army and Frontier Constabulary is equally involved in this issue.

Still doesn’t justify why Taliban is blowing up schools. Just because one person is a jackass doesn’t mean you acting like one will be justified.

The reason for this action is common between them that is turning of schools into hide outs and transit camps once it comes under control of either party Pakistan Army or Taliban.

No words.

Dozens of schools and colleges are being used by Pakistan Army and FC as their barracks in FATA, you can find out easily if you like. So when something sacred is turned lethal it needs to
be eliminated this is the policy of Taliban.

So when something sacred (read: quran and Islam as a religion) is turned lethal (provocating people to take innocent lives) it needs to be eliminated. Do we agree that USA is following the same policy as well then?
He then goes on to sing praises for how the Indian subcontinent was full of riches and how all the kings spent huge amounts of money on education, how Indians taught the Britishers Hindi, Urdu and Persian and then comes to this

No poverty, no crises and no clashes of civilization or religion. Because the education system was based on noble thoughts and noble curriculum.

From the history that I was taught till my class 10th:
Poverty – Yes
Crises – Every now and then
Clash of civilizations – Let’s not even get started
Clashes of religion – Other than Akbar’s reign and before Babar invaded India – Yes

Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the founder and symbol of English education in India was a freemasons.

Here’s what his Wikipedia page reads:
” During the Indian Rebellion of 1857, he remained loyal to the British and was noted for his actions in saving European lives.”…”Sir Syed was suspicious of the Indian independence movement and called upon Muslims to loyally serve the British Raj.”

And then he starts making some sense –

You say Malala day is not your day it is the day of every person who has raised voice for their rights, I ask you why such a day in not assigned to Rachel Corrie, only because the bulldozer was Israeli? Why such a day in not assigned to Affia Siddique because the buyers are Americans? Why such day is not assigned to Faizan and Faheem because the killer was Raymond Davis? Why such a day in not assigned to those 16 innocent afghan women and children who were shot dead by an American Robert Belas because he was not a talib.

Valid arguments. One simple excuse – The US of A strong arming the other party. Every.Single.Time.

I ask you and be honest in reply, if you were shot but Americans in a drone attack, would world have ever heard updates on your medical status? Would you be called ‘daughter of the nation? Would the media make a fuss about you? Would General Kiyani have come to visit you and would the world media be constantly reporting on you? Would you were called to UN? Would a Malala day be announced?

NO. And it’s a shame!

I wish, the compassion you learnt from Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him should be learnt
by Pakistan Army so they could stop shedding of Muslim blood in FATA and Baluchistan. I wish, the compassion you learnt from Prophet Jesus should be learnt by USA and NATO so they should stop shedding blood of innocent Muslims across the world and I wish the same for followers of Buddha to stop killing of innocent unarmed Muslims in Burma, and Sri Lanka and wish the same for Indian army to follow Gandhi jee and stop genocide in Kashmir

Amen to that!
P.S: How about you ask Lashkar to stop gate-crashing our borders?

The followers of bacha khan, the ANP has an example of non-violence in their five years regime in KPK province, for example Swat, where a single shot was not fired and we witnessed the followers of bacha khan implemented the philosophy of nonviolence in its true soul, with support of jets, tanks and gunships.

Here’s an interesting piece on the elections held in pakistan recently –
“Because of the massive violence directed at them by the terrorist Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP — known as the Pakistani Taliban) during the elections and before, three major political parties were unable to campaign. These included the Pakistan People’s Party which was ruling as the central government before the elections, the Awami National Party (ANP)  More than 100 people were killed during the election campaigns, including several electoral candidates, and 350 injured mainly by the TTP. “
This is the same ANP which is mentioned in the letter. The same non violent ANP which was targeted by Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan and thus was unable to contest in elections.

I advise you to come back home, adopt the Islamic and pushtoon culture, join any female Islamic madrassa near your home town, study and learn the book of Allah, use your pen for Islam and plight of Muslim ummah and reveal the conspiracy of tiny elite who want to enslave the whole humanity for their evil agendas in the name of new world order.

Home – I believe even she wants to but why she can not – the answer lies within!

Two very dear friends of mine are starting with their own venture. Here’s wishing them all the very best. May they be the round pegs in the square holes.

Boys go and create a dent in the universe!

“The minute that you understand that you can poke life and actually something will, you know if you push in, something will pop out the other side, that you can change it, you can mold it. That’s maybe the most important thing.”

That Awkward Moment

When you are feeling so frustrated but have no one to go to. So what do you do then – Keep calm and carry on!

On a social media lockdown with immediate effect.

4th August

The first thing that most of us do the first thing in the morning is check our cellphones, right? So did I today morning. Imagine snoozing the nth alarm of the morning and suddenly getting a text from the CR that class has been cancelled! Boy was it the best way to start my day! Dismissed all the alarms and slept till noon
Then there was Mahindra War Room launch in the campus in the evening. They have pretty interesting sectors to look into this year. Let’s hope we can at least reach the campus finals.
Nothing much happened otherwise. Off for the day

3rd of August

Well well well, so as expected Achin got a big bashing yesterday and so did his room mate Kartik it was sweet revenge for me :D. Moving ahead I had classes till 2. Slept my way through the afternoon and then we went to this place called Le Royalé in Hinjewadi, had a sumptuous buffet and came back!
The mock up for the logo has been made, looks like it will come out pretty nice!
Planning to start with sales distribution tomorrow, off for the day now!

2nd August

Rakhi today! I wish I was back at home.. anyways finally I completed the last ritual of being a true hosteler, getting rakhi tied by a (male) friend, and courtesy the campus freeze there are no buses plying to Pune city, as a result had to spend the entire day at the campus, went to Prasanna for a quick dinner. It’s Achin’s birthday tomorrow as a result his room mate Kartik is up for a big butt-kicking tonight and I’m so looking forward to it!

1st of August

5 low intensity bomb blasts in Pune. One person got injured and luckily no one was killed. So much for a welcome to Mr. Shinde as the new Home Minister. My roomie was at the very spot barely 2 hours ago! Lets see what the government plans to do now!
As a result of what happened there’s a campus freeze tomorrow (i.e 2nd August) – safety precautions from the college. Have come up with a mock concept of the new logo for Whizon. Plan to draw it out tomorrow.

Just as the day was about to end, got a call and This changes everything. Again. 🙂

Night of 31st

Whatayyy Night. Listening to some jazz, dim lights, no assignments lined up for tomorrow.

The day has been good so far. Started with Brand Management (I’m falling in Love with this subject. Yes.). Then a surprise test of Retail Management and with the legacy of the prof. we thought we are in for big trouble, but luckily the test was a sitter and that’s that.

Came back, started with Mad Men, must say the 1st episode was pretty good. Back to designing the new logo for Whizon. Expect to see a few prototypes in a few days!
We have a Health checkup tomorrow which I plan to miss since I’ve a lot of pending stuff to do. Thinking of shifting back to use the study table rather than sit on the bed and while away time.
Off for the night!
